Friday, July 30, 2004 My idealism is again smashed...Well I found this page which details an argument that Disney ripped off the Lion King from a lesser known Tezuka Productions' Jungle Emperor Leo. Apparently the main character in the Tezuka production from the 1950s-60s was named Kimba...just look at the pics on the page.  
I don't know, but the evidence seems pretty compelling. Well if Disney has been ripping off ideas for some time I guess my youthful idealism is smashed to pieces...or maybe not.
