Sorry nothing further this week on the gender roles stuff. I am however watching expectantly the new race in Illinois between Barack Obama and Alan Keyes. With the dismissal of the foolish and immoral Jack Ryan from the GOP ticket because of the sexual indiscretions, amongst other things, the Illinois GOP has turned to another source for a good candidate. Alan Keyes is one of my personal political heroes and one person who will always get my support and vote whenever he runs for office anywhere. Outside of being a staunch conservative, he is one of the most qualified politicians to run for any public office available.

This race will be interesting to watch in several areas:

  1. The media coverage
  2. The community reaction
  3. The campaigning strategies
  4. The pundits' talk

One of the reasons is you have two agendas being represented by able minded candidates who will be able to have a, hopefully, wonderful public debate on the issues. This campaign will, again hopefully, be good to watch as we can see a national discussion of the issues and where either party truly stands. Both men seem to be of good character and solid reputation. I am expecting great things out of this.

Have a good weekend
