Wednesday, October 06, 2004 Who won?Why is that the media is so fixated on the question of: "who won" right after the vice presidential and presidential debates? Neither side wins in these things, not anymore. The candidates are so coached and comfortable with the situation they aren't going to bobble the questions. The truth here is no one wins...especially not the American people. No one wins when you can cite two varying facts and spin your answers all night long. No one wins when you begin your debate with a pithy phrase about never meeting before then lie about to the American people. No one wins when you tell people your position was different from the one you made when you voted against something.
